Some colours are not realistic

Colours on some pictures differ from real colours. What is the reason?

The EYE-02 and EyeSee cameras use infrared light for night vision. If there is little visible light and much infrared light, colors of some objects may change, because these objects have different color in visible light and infrared light.

For example, green leaves intensively reflect infrared light. For this reason they may look violet under the overcast sky or gray in daylight. Clouds block visible light, but don’t block infrared light. It is simmilar with some indoor sources of infrared light.

The colour shift is caused by the picture sensor which is sensitive also to infrared spectrum of light.
