I call my EYE-02 or EyeSee camera. However, the camera does not offer me the voice menu. What to do?
NOTE: 2G cameras are not available for calls while sending data.
- Check if camera SW is up-to-date. Visit JabloTool.com and log in to your account. Go to “Settings” of your camera and click on “Firmware update” in the right menu.
- Make sure your phone number is stored in camera contacts. Stay in JabloTool and select “Reporting” -> “Contacts”. If your phone number is not stored in the contacts camera will decline your call.
- Check camera signal by sending the camera an SMS command. Send a text message in the format STATUS to your camera. Example: “MIKE STATUS” where MIKE is remote access password of your camera. Default password is 0000 (four zeros). Camera will reply with a text message. There will be information about signal strength. The ideal strength is more than 60% for 2G models and more than 30% for 3G. If your signal is lower then please visit FAQ about Improving camera signal.
- Check if CLIR is not active on your mobile phone. Call another number. Is your own number displayed there? If not, ask your operator to deactivate the restriction of your caller identification.
If you changed camera SD card voice menu will be missing in the camera. This happens because the memory card not only contains pictures and videos, but also some data essential for the device. Follow this post for EYE-02 or this post for EyeSee and restore the voice menu in the camera.
