Essence – Hide my phone number (CLIR)
Do you want to hide your phone number? Should the people youn are calling to see just “HIDDEN NUMBER” instead of your phone number?
You need to activate the network feature called Calling line identification restriction (CLIR).
CLIR can be managed by typing the following codes on keyboard, each code sequence is confirmed by the green tick button:

| *31# | Activates the CLIR – the number of calling party will be hidden. |
| #31# | Deactivates the CLIR – the number of calling party will be shown. |
| *#31# | Shows the current status of CLIR. |
You can also activate CLIR function just for one call – in such case put a prefix in front of the dialed number:

Note: CLIR function must be supported by mobile network – contact your provider for more details.
Note: Essence supports CLIR from the SW version 2.2.4 and higher. Type *#06# and check the SW version of your Essence to show FW version. To update Essence FW, follow this guide.
