I often call my customer information line. When the call is answered I hear the menu like \u201efor information about your tariff press 1, for information about your phone number press 2, …<\/em>\u201c I always choose the same options. Can I dial these options automatically on my Essence?<\/p>\n

Yes, you can use quick dial Hotkey to dial the options (further called as DTMF sequence). We will use two examples to explain the way of doing this.<\/p>\n

Quick dial of DTMF sequence<\/strong>
\nWe will use Hotkey to dial the DTMF sequence, for example 123<\/strong>. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Select Names<\/strong>, new contact<\/strong> and scroll down to any phone number of the contact;<\/li>\n
  2. Press * on the keyboard three times until you see \u201cP<\/strong>\u201c;<\/li>\n
  3. Enter 123<\/strong> so that the entire contact number looks like P123<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  4. Save contact and select Options<\/strong>, Assign hotkey<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  5. Assign one of Hotkeys to this contact.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now make a call as usual. When the call is answered press the hotkey and Essence will dial the DTMF sequence 123. You can dial the DTMF sequence any time during the call.<\/p>\n

    Quick dial of phone number followed by DTMF sequence<\/strong><\/p>\n

    We will use hotkey to dial the number 800123456<\/strong> followed by DTMF sequence 123<\/strong>. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

    1. Select Names<\/strong>, new contact<\/strong> and enter the phone number 800123456<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    2. Press *<\/strong> on the keyboard three times until you see \u201cP<\/strong>\u201c;<\/li>\n
    3. Enter 123<\/strong> so that the entire contact number looks like 800123456P123<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    4. Save contact and select Options<\/strong>, Assign hotkey<\/strong> and choose one Hotkey.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Now press the Hotkey and Essence will dial the number 800123456. Once the call is answered Essence will also dial the DTMF sequence 123.<\/p>\n

      You can do all this also in in your web browser:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Register your Essence to JabloTool<\/a> and select Contacts;<\/li>\n
      2. Select New contact<\/strong>, fill in contact details and save changes;<\/li>\n
      3. Find the contact and select Assign contact<\/strong>. The Hotkey will assign.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
