Correct settings of Access Point Name (APN) is the key for device connection to internet.
Usually the APN settings is for each network operator stored on the SIM card. Just sometimes there are required some modifications (i.e. for company virtual private network VPN).

The main parameters of APN are:
– the APN name (frequently it is “internet”)
– username and password (important just for private networks)

Another important parameter is the protokol version. Essence Model GDP-10 can use IPv4 as well as IPv6. Default settings is “IPv4v6” what says to network that both protocol versions are available and network automatically choice which one will be used (ussally IPV6 is preferred in such case)

The default setting can be modified if needed by special service code:

*##64# check the current setting of APN protocol
*##64*# set the firmware pre-selected settings – software switch between IPv6/IPv4
*##64*4# set IPv4 only
*##64*6# set IPv6 only
*##64*64# set the automatic mode – network can switch between IPv4v6
